The team around Jens Moritz advised the shareholders of BKtel Group on the sale to Huber + Suhner AG. Signing took place on 30 September 2019 while closing of the transaction is expected for December 2019.

BKtel Group was founded in 1997 as part of a management buy-out by former employees of Alcatel Deutschland. The company has specialized in the development, manufacturing and distribution of signal transmission components and systems such as transmitters, receivers and amplifiers for communication networks (especially cable TV and fiber optics networks). Moreover, the Group is active in the highly innovative field of 3D scanners („Lidar“). Among its customers are cable network operators, system integrators and international OEM clients. The company is based in Hückelhoven with further German and international sites and generates a turnover of approx. EUR 40m with around 150 employees. BWK has accompanied the growth of the company as a minority shareholder since 2007.

Buyer is Huber + Suhner AG based in Pfäffikon / Switzerland. The listed company is active worldwide in the field of components and system solutions for electrical and optical connectivity. These global structures will support BKtel Group in their further international growth. Due to the complementarity of the activities of both companies, BKtel will be managed as competence center within Huber + Suhner.
